Circuit Board box - from old computers
Collected from factories and
then stored for many years in an outside cupboard at Corban & Blair, these
circuit boards were rendered obsolete. They have been transformed into
decorative boxes featuring the design and technology of their previous use.
Carton Journal - from pre used cartons
These journals show case designs
produced to market food and beverages. They vary in colour and style depending
on the produce they once carried. Each journal is unique and is a reminder that
the genre of carton design has value that is often over looked.
Comic Journals - covers from perused comics
Having first been published
in 1897 comic books provided pleasure to millions of people around the world.
Today they continue to transport us to distant adventures and faraway worlds.
As well as bringing joy and adventure into our lives, some are collected as
valuable treasures. The comic used has been rescued and reused combining
creativity, individuality and fun.
Reinvented Plates - old plates collected and re
glazed
This range pays homage to
recycling. Hidden beneath piles of bric-a-brac in second-hand stores, the plates were found and refired in a
local Sydney kiln. Boldly designed with classic Australian motifs, they are
individuality created for people who like difference and a sense of history.
Atlas journals for travellers - with covers from old
atlas pages
For generations, maps and
atlases have inspired us to be intrepid travellers, jet-setting on world
adventures. Forever an important classroom resource, the atlas has been
reinvented in this collection. Its new life is as a decorative and
inspirational front cover that gives it a meaningful use beyond its original
purpose.
